There's a time and place for everything, and I believe it’s called 'fan fiction'.
This movie was a complete disaster.
It is a trend nowdays - to criticize new52 and evey move Dan DiDio makes - wich is quite understandable, considering what a piece of crap it ended up eventualy. But some DC fans also like to hold the Flash responsible one for creating reboot.

For some reason people tend to forget that without Zoom revealing truth about him being the very one who has killed Barry's mother, the last one wouldn't even tried to change the past. What was Barry doing when he didn't have his powers? Trying to solve a murder. What was he doing after the lightning struck him? Trying to solve a murder. And what did he do when he came back from the dead? You guessed it - WAS TRYING TO SOLVE A MURDER
Jesus, give a guy some respect. He is a scientist after all. He is smart enough to know that changing the past can turn not well. But then Zoom comes and says - "hey, ya know this day when your mom was killed and your dad was arested and dies in prison? Yep, that was me. Oh, and your never existed friend? I erased him from existance. And thу reason you were always falling from stairs and failed everytime and so one and so forth? Still me. Me, Barry, MEEE"
You get in now? The past was ALREADY changed by Zoom. And when Flash went back in time - it was to prevent Zoom from doing it.
BUT THEN IN THE MOIVE THEY JUST DITCHED THAT PART BECAUSE WHO CARES ANYWAY RIGHT
They even re-written the scene where Flash decided to intervene the war the moment he heard news of GL's death.
I was kinda upset that there was no other member of flashfam. But then some Bat-fans came and started bitching about Thomas's storyline not being developed enough. Bitch, it's called FLASHpoint for a reason.
Though there is a good moral to the story — accept the things you cannot change, have the courage to change the things you can and have the wisdom to know the difference.
